Google IO 2011

Google I/O 2011 was a blast and gave us a glimpse of what the future might bring. Google is taking connectivity to a whole other level with new products and services such as Google Music, video rentals through the Android Market and YouTube, and Chromebook OS. As the Android platform is gaining momentum, Google is adding support for Near Field Communications (NFC), and third party hardware. This will allow Android to communicate with other devices, any device.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, as the company is creating compelling new visions for the future as demonstrated with Google @ Home and the release of rosjava. In short, the goal is to have all services running in the cloud, power key appliances with Android, and connect each of these appliances to the cloud and thus each other.

Talking about innovation, this will change the way we work and live. More at Google IO 2011
